  
Fouch Building & Remodeling is committed to providing high quality General Contracting Services in a variety of areas. Our project experience ranges from residential custom homes and whole house remodels, to additions, remodels of kitchens, basements and bathrooms. On the commercial side, we've built small commercial buildings used by the City of Portland and performed tenant improvement projects. Whatever the scope, our focus is ensuring projects run smoothly for the owner, and that their vision for their space is realized.
On projects where an owner requires interior design, we take a TEAM approach, partnering with Z3 Design Studio. The benefit to the owner? An experienced DESIGN / BUILD TEAM. Our TEAM is committed to providing you with a personal relationship and seamless integration from Concept through Construction.
Our TEAM's quality is evident in our recent project that was featured on the 2008 Tour of Remodeled Homes, sponsored by the Remodeler's Council of the Home Builder's Association of Metro Portland. Not only was this project one of only 14 remodeling projects featured to promote excellence in remodeling, the HBA also awarded our DESIGN/BUILD TEAM two 2008 Remodeling Excellence Awards:
- FB&R won a Silver Merit Award in the "Whole House Remodel, $250,000 - $500,000" category, and
- Z3 Design Studio won the Remodeling Excellence Award for "Residential Whole House Design."
FB&R has relationships with local architects, and is willing to work with any architect or design professional you have attached to your project. We also have the capability to provide some design work in house.
FB&R's Owner and President, John Fouch, graduated from Oregon State University with degrees in Construction Engineering Management and Business Management. Though he began laboring in construction during college, he began his professional career in Portland as a Project Engineer for a national commercial construction company. John's project work ranged from a concrete tilt up building for production of silicone wafers, to building hotels and a $10 million office building for a software company in Beaverton. He then began to Project Manage Tenant Improvement projects in downtown Portland buildings such as the Lloyd Tower, US Bancorp Tower and Liberty Centre, with budgets up to $750,000. He started building homes in 1999, and loved residential construction so much that he continued building homes and started Fouch Building & Remodeling.
Working with his wife, Shelley, and a dedicated team of employees and hand selected sub-contractors who strive for excellence in their respective disciplines, John and his team have built a strong reputation based upon excellent customer service and a desire to build repeat business and referral relationships with clients.
